Brigid Carkeek, Next Chapter Parenting

My name is Brigid Carkeek, I am a registered Social Worker who has had training as a Child Centred Play Therapist. I chose this path because I feel there are many children who are not receiving the help they need through conventional means of counselling and therapy. Child Centred Play Therapy is an ideal way to reach children as play is their natural means of communication.

At the same time, I felt there are parents who struggle to raise their children, and would be open to receiving help to empower them and the choices they make.

I have devised a course that does just that – based on the principles of Child Centred Play Therapy along with a good dose of common sense – Parents are left with the ability to go forward in their parenting with confidence and assurity in their decision making, while at the same time improving the relationship with their child.
